What stages does the legalization process have?

The process goes through: request received, document check, type approval, Form 9 and inspection, preparing the DAV and assessing the ISV, invoicing, the Vehicle Customs Declaration, receipt of the original documents, license plate number assignment, registration fees, first registration at the Vehicle Registry Office and, finally, completed.

The stages of a legalization

A legalization goes through several authorities — the IMT, the Tax Authority, the inspection center and the Vehicle Registry Office — and it is normal to wait a few weeks between stages. This page shows which stage your case is at, updated by the team as it moves forward.
